Yoga for Anxiety and Stress Relief
April 4 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
This class will introduce students to effective breathing techniques that activate the parasympathetic nervous system, balance the stress response system, and regulate the mind and emotions.
Mindfulness meditation will be practiced to help students stay in the present moment, recognizing worried thoughts when they arise, and preventing them from getting worse.
A gentle flow and long held restorative postures will help students to maintain the connection to their breath and body and release long held tension.
This class is appropriate for people experiencing acute or chronic stress, anxiety disorders, and/or difficulty with sleep. It is also appropriate for those needing some R & R.
